Our Story.

Twenty-five years ago, David Cox, emerged into the hardwood lumber scene during his tenure at a competing software systems developer. It was there he developed a deep knowledge and interest in the industry that accelerated his career. During his previous employment, Cox quickly became a prominent individual amongst the logger and saw milling communities. Customers took favor in engaging with him because of his problem solving abilities and swift resolution to even the most challenging issues. Nearly two decades into his work, Kent Duncan, was hired into the same firm under the creative and marketing department before later transitioning to a sales position. The two forged a strong friendship almost immediately due to their like interests and respect for one another’s work ethic. Eventually small talk graduated to deeper discussions which revealed the two shared similar frustrations with the lack of quality control and dedication to customer care. Nearly four more years elapsed before the two had shared a revelation they had to pursue. With their minds made up, the two men, began working many late nights developing a plan for both their departure and the company they would soon launch.

Kent was the first to make his exit, in the early days he worked as an independent contractor, operating his own firm in order to make ends meet while Onsite crawled through its initial startup phases. Nearly a year into operation, Onsite Technologies LLC was prepared to launch its debut product and at that moment David followed his partners’ lead and resigned from the position he had held over half his life. Today, Onsite Technologies LLC is proud to have remained committed to its founders’ values of prioritizing its customers above all. We are proud to say that we are the only Hardwood Software Systems Developer to have a 100% customer satisfaction rate. Our team is committed to providing service with unmatched quality and will take whatever means necessary to ensure every individual is completely satisfied with every experience they have. About Me
David has spent over 25 years in the logging and lumber industry between both his previous and current employment. Realizing the industry suffers in many areas from lack of support to common sense solutions, he ventured out on his own with his current partners to offer new advancements in data collection and inventory tracking. David currently fulfills lead roles in the support and IT departments to ensure all Onsite customers' complete satisfaction with the systems they depend on. In his downtime, he is a bit of a movie critic and enjoys the time he gets with his beloved family and friends.

Kent has done sales within the lumber industry for 7+ years. In his previous tenure, he realized the lumber industry was in desperate need of an innovative inventory solutions provider who's core focus was on delivering quality products with gold standard support. This became the driving force that inspired him and partner, David Cox, to start Onsite Technologies. Aside from operating the company's sales department, he is also the graphic and web designer. In his leisure, Kent enjoys marksmanship and gunsmithing, hunting, playing guitar and spending time with his 4-year-old son, Hayden, family and close friends.

Otherwise known as the "Excel Ninja" for her extensive accounting knowledge, Wendy has been in the lumber industry for over 23 years! Having worked as an accountant with DLH Nordisk, Inter-Continental Hardwoods and Northwest Hardwoods, she is familiar with the business intricacies of both domestic and exotic species. In her leisure, Wendy enjoys traveling, spending time with her family and friends and performing stand-up comedy.

Jacob is a native of Asheboro, North Carolina and currently resides in Greensboro. He graduated high school with 8 semesters of JROTC and an associates degree in Criminal Justice Technology. He currently enjoys modifying and building computers while exceling at troubleshooting issues. He is also enjoys the history of WWII, hanging with friends and family and spending quality time with his fiancée.
